The We Energies Foundation is thrilled to donate more than $25,000 to Wisconsin Community Services (WCS) as part of a season-long basketball promotion called Bench Mob Bonus. For the 6th year in a row, the We Energies Foundation pledged a $500 donation every time the home team bench players score more than 40 points in a game.
After a successful regular season, Beth Straka, We Energies Foundation president, and Gale Klappa, chairman of the WEC Energy Group board, presented representatives of WSC with a check for $25,500.
Wisconsin Community Services is a nonprofit that helps address individual and systemic barriers that prevent many in our communities from leading productive and healthy lives. The organization enables people to overcome adversity including substance use, mental health needs, criminal justice involvement and employment obstacles.
The We Energies Foundation is proud to support hundreds of charitable groups every year. In 2024, the foundation donated $11.5 million in support of education, community and neighborhood development, health and human services, arts and culture, and the environment.
