We Energies crews and utility workers from across Wisconsin are making final repairs June 13 and restoring power for customers affected by the June 11 storm.
Crews have restored power to more than 40,000 customers after a tornado and powerful winds caused widespread outages.
Racine and Kenosha counties saw the heaviest damage, with more than 60 power poles and miles of power lines brought down. Hundreds of workers worked around the clock rebuilding damaged parts of the grid, removing snapped poles and broken equipment, and installing new infrastructure.
By the afternoon of June 13, all outages from the June 11 storm had either been restored or assigned to crews for restoration.
As this storm moved through Wisconsin, We Energies was wrapping up restoration work from severe weather June 10, which left more than 40,000 customers without power. Crews restored service to those customers in about 24 hours.
We Energies thanks its customers for their patience and understanding and its crews for their hard work during the power restoration process.
