We Energies is celebrating dads this Father’s Day. The company asked employees to submit pictures and provide a few thoughts about what it means to be a dad.
Here are their words:
“I just enjoy making memories with my boys, Gavin, Logan and Nolan.” — Ryan Grondin, chief engineer — hydro engineering
“The reason I love being a dad? I grew up without one. I turned OK though. I vowed, if I ever have kids, I’d be the best father ever. I’ll always be there for them. My kids are my reason for existing. I love nothing more than them in the universe.” — Cedric Polk, materials specialist
“I love being a mentor for my two daughters, not only in hunting but in life as a whole. We spend lots of time together, especially in the outdoors. And now that I have a grandson, it will be his time to enjoy the outdoors with us. Nothing beats being a dad.” — Timothy Johnson, surveyor
“I love having kids. It is a true blessing to have them and watch them grow in all aspects of life. Very proud to be to their dad.” — James Nelson, design specialist
“Being a father is the most rewarding job I’ve ever had. I enjoy watching my boys blossom into who they are becoming; laughing, traveling, going to the gym or even just watching one of our favorite shows. My boys push me to be better daily, and I am forever grateful they chose me to be their father.” — Myles McKay, gas buyer
“I love my family! It gives me bragging rights on earning the grey hair!” — Bradley Ohde, engineering manager
“I became a dad on May 16! I love it because it brings me happiness that money can’t buy.” — Alex Herzog, surveyor
“Being a father is not just the most important, but also the best ‘job’ I’ll ever have.” — Brendan Conway, director — media relations
“Being a dad is my greatest accomplishment. My son and daughter bring value and joy to my life. I love being a dad that they know can count on me for anything.” — Randy Willms, troubleshooter
