Gale Klappa, executive chairman of WEC Energy Group — the parent company of We Energies — joins the cast of Moguls for the 2022 season of “Project Pitch It.”

“Project Pitch It” is a “Shark Tank”- like television show that gives Wisconsin entrepreneurs the opportunity to pitch their businesses and products to prominent business leaders. The show is returning for a sixth season in March.

“It’s really an honor to be part of the ongoing effort to promote job creation and help entrepreneurs succeed in Wisconsin,” Klappa said. “These entrepreneurs have great ideas and a desire to succeed. Hopefully, some of the lessons I’ve learned over the years in strategic planning and leadership will help them as they grow their companies.”

In each weekly episode, three entrepreneurs demonstrate their innovations and vie for awards valued at more than $40,000. This year’s awards include:

  • The AmFam/We Energies Award — New this season, this award includes $1,500 and mentoring with a We Energies leader to support the entrepreneur’s advancement in all aspects of their business, including marketing, information technology, human resources and finance.
  • The Peg Ann & David Gruber Project Pitch It $10,000 Cash Award — This award will help the entrepreneur soar to the next level.
  • The Jendusa/University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee Lubar Entrepreneurship Center Award — This award offers workshops, programming and support services, including investment guidance and mentoring from Jerry Jendusa and UW-Milwaukee’s Lubar Entrepreneurship Center. It also includes $5,000.
