The We Energies Foundation is donating nearly $20,000 to Girls on the Run in partnership with the Brewers Community Foundation.  The donation is part of Ks for a Cause, a special program where the We Energies Foundation makes a $25 donation for every strikeout by a Brewers pitcher at home games.

After another successful season and 795 strikeouts, a representative of the foundation presented Girls on the Run with a check for $18,350 at one of the final regular season games. The grand total, including strikeouts from the last few regular season games, comes to $19,875.

Girls on the Run helps girls recognize their inner strength, boost confidence and develop life skills through physical activity. Here in southeast Wisconsin, the nonprofit serves more than 2,800 girls each year.

The We Energies Foundation is proud to support hundreds of charitable groups every year. In 2024, the foundation donated $11.5 million in support of education, community and neighborhood development, health and human services, arts and culture, and the environment.
