For 28 years, Rob Jagler, a troubleshooter out of our Port Washington Service Center, has worked injury-free at We Energies. He says that there are many keys to his safety success, but the most important is having his co-workers’ backs every day.
“Safety is ingrained in all that we do in the field. Looking out for each other, working together and, overall, having each others’ backs is what is most important. We are family,” Rob says.
Rob ensures he remains injury-free by expecting the unexpected, which he says, helps him to stay safe both at work and at play. As an avid backcountry snowmobiler, Rob says the dangers outside of work also can be extreme.
“Weather, avalanches and mechanical failure all can turn a good time bad very fast,” Rob says.
For his backcountry snowmobiling adventures, Rob wears the proper personal protective equipment, takes safety-training courses and checks in regularly with his riding partners to make sure safety is top of everyone’s mind.
“We all want to go home safe,” says Rob.
Safety at heart
We Energies is celebrating employees who keep safety at heart as they reinforce our safety culture and take action to prevent injuries at work and at home.
