Now that the holiday season is upon us, We Energies is making spirits bright — literally! The company and its foundation are proud to sponsor some of the state’s most spectacular holiday light displays.
Here are just a few of the family-friendly festivities we’re proud to be a part of this year:
Cheer District — Illuminated by We Energies, Deer District will transform into Cheer District on Nov. 18 with the lighting of the official City of Milwaukee Christmas tree. In addition to the city’s tree, there will be over 30 lit trees throughout the plaza surrounding Fiserv Forum.
Kapco’s Kids2Kids Christmas — Give back to kids in need while getting in the holiday spirit at Kapco’s Kids2Kids Christmas in Grafton, sponsored by the We Energies Foundation. All visitors are encouraged to bring a toy to donate to a child in need.
Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival — Check out “Santa’s Celebration Square,” powered by the We Energies Foundation in downtown Milwaukee. The interactive display is located in Zeidler Union Square at 4th and Michigan streets. We Energies has been a proud sponsor of the Holiday Lights Festival since it began more than two decades years ago.
Wild Lights — For the second year in a row, the Milwaukee County Zoo will be lit with hundreds of thousands of glittering lights along a 1-mile path filled with animal-themed displays, all powered by We Energies.
Winter Wonders — Visit the Boerner Botanical Gardens to take part in Winter Wonders. The drive-thru event sponsored by the We Energies Foundation kicks off Nov. 18. Take in the beauty of over a million LED lights along a 1.4 mile-scenic route.
The holiday traditions don’t stop there. Back at home, bake some cookies from the beloved We Energies Cookie Book. If you haven’t yet, you can download a copy on the We Energies website.
And as you get ready to deck your own halls, make sure to check out the online holiday lighting calculator. It’s a great way to understand how your holiday display will affect your energy bill.
