We Energies is celebrating dads this Father’s Day. The company asked employees to submit pictures and provide a few thoughts about what it means to be a dad.
Here are their words:
“This will be mine and my son Jack’s first Father’s Day together. Being a dad is my favorite thing ever. Jack and I love exploring, playing, laughing, crawling around, being silly, reading books about animals and getting super excited about passing cars and airplanes together.” — Neil Mrkvicka, principal customer insights and analytics specialist
“Being a dad has taught me the things that really bring value in life. It’s not about what you had done or what you plan on doing. It’s not about the material things you have or the fancy clothes you purchase. It’s about the memories with your children that you can make now, that will last forever. The memories that you leave behind when you can’t go forward anymore. My time as a father is more valuable than anything anyone can offer me because it can’t be made up or redone. Being a dad has been the best experience ever and I wouldn’t change it for anything in the universe.” — Demeck Riley, field service supervisor
“Between the school, work and social life activities, it really is great to spend the day with each other. I consider myself blessed to have four great daughters that are still willing to spend some time with their dad.” — Paul Fliss, regional forester
“I get to have my childhood adventures all over again.” — Rick Zimmermann Jr., engineer— electric metering
“Being a father is an amazing and rewarding experience. I appreciate how lucky I am every day to be a dad.” — Brendan Conway, manager — media relations
“When I come home from work and they run up to me and give me the biggest hug, there is no better feeling!” — Mike Kernen, transformer repair leader
“I am enjoying being a dad for the joys in life we share together.” — Scott Meise, manager — insurance and corporate risk
